MADISON'S Jefferson County Tennis Association

The Jefferson County Tennis Association was organized in 2001 to promote tennis as a sport that is educational and fun. We are a non-profit organization affiliated with the USTA, (United States Tennis Association). Many men's and women's 'Leagues' and 'Events' are offered throughout the summer and fall seasons. We also work closely with the Madison Parks Department to provide tennis instructions for the youth of our community.

Our organization operates with an elected Board of Directors that is dedicated to creating activities for all levels of play, from beginners who have little or no experience, to very advanced players who compete statewide. There are also USTA Certified personal available for group and private lessons. We encourage and welcome all tennis players, and those who would like to learn, to join us.

A membership fee is charged annually to support our many leagues , purchase tennis balls and supplies, pay for postage for communications, provide insurance for participants, and subsidize lessons for beginners. All money collected from membership fees is used for the direct expenses of promoting, sponsoring, and implementing our programs and leagues. The Association also applies for, and accepts, 'Grants' to assist in the programs and events.

We conclude the season with our Annual Fall PARTY and AWARDS night. All members and guests are invited and encouraged to attend. On this evening there is also a Business Meeting to elect new Board members and Officers.
